MAC 1014 Magazine Extension, Black

Worked out great and easy to mount.

Put the thing on and immediately started having feeding issues the spring it comes with is weak and the extension itself leaves threads exposed

It does what is suppose to. I wish the finish was a bit better that's why the 4 starts but other than that is great . Highly recommend it.

Easy swap out with little to no tools required. It is noteworthy to mention that all 2 3/4 shells are not created equal. S&B shells re slightly longer and would not allow the max of 7 to be loaded in tube. With Winchester rounds, I was easily able to load 7 in the tube and with ghost loading got 9 total. Great job MAC, on both the gun and the accessories.

This a update from my previous review on the plus 2 extion tube.i order 2 extions 1 blue 1 marine and after installed only 6 would fit in the tube. I left it loaded with 6 in tube for a week and today I unloaded it. I reloaded it with 7 high brass 00 buck it took all 7 so being a man of character I needed to let everyone know and I did chance review from 3 to 4 stars,the only reason I did not go 5 is that you have to remove tube to disassemble the Mac 1014 But in all honesty with the self cleaning gas system that should not be necessary very often... And since day one after taking gun down and inspected it cleaned it lubed and oil lightly then removed all excess the the has ran everything I have feed it low brass high brass 7.5 1200fpc game loads to full power slugs 00 buck I love the gun especially for the cost.... Just had to give up date...

To be fair, I reached out to customer service about this extension.i expressed my thoughts about misleading statement that this extension would make the tube 7 rds...reality is the customer service woman told me NO..It makes tube hold 6 plus 1 in chamber that makes 7... I told her I ordered it because if you say extension 7rds. It means 7 in tube because extension has nothing to do with chamber.... Not happy with her answer... But I have to say this...the MAC 1014 is a fine shotgun. Works perfect but the tube extension was not thought out very well at all. You can not disassemble gun with out removing extension as the barrel can not pass thru large tube nuckle.... So if you are thinking of buying this be aware of what I have encountered. But I did reach out to customer service and not happy with results...

Had it professionally installed by a gunsmith it fits properly and tight

Installed easily, looks good. Haven’t shot it yet but think it’s going to perform just fine.

This is the official MAC product to overcome the cheesy stock 5-round tube. We all bought the Big MAC for tremendous savings over Benelli with identical features. Fifty bucks is the cheapest way to effectively fix the major fault, but the devil is in the details. Installing this tube is easy, but you quickly learn the big knurled attachment knob is too thick to allow the barrel sling ring to pass over, so you must disassemble the mag tube every time you field strip the gun for cleaning. That often involves clumsy twisting and mashing the spring back into the tube. Do you want to affect your reliability by always abusing your spring? There are more elegant offerings that address this with slick screw on tubes that freely pass through the sling ring for easy field stripping leaving the mag tube intact. You can also put in a premium Wolf Spring for even better reliability too. Isn't that little bit of extra money worth it? You decide...
