New For 2024: Inglis High Power Pistols - American Rifleman
A classic semi-automatic pistol design, the FN High Power or GP-35, has experienced a resurgence in popularity in the civilian market, just as it was getting replaced in the military and law-enforcement worlds. The latest addition to the High Power world is the new-for-2024 Inglis series of High Power-style handguns.
The rebirth of Inglis Mfg. is courtesy of parent company SDS Imports. The “Inglis” name is a significant one in High Power history. It denotes the Canadian company that manufactured High Power pistols for the Allies during World War II after the Fabrique Nationale factory in Belgium was overrun by the Nazis. The new Inglis pistols have a 4140 steel frame and slide. The 4.7” barrel is hard chromed. Front and rear sights are fitted into Browning Hi-Power-pattern dovetails. The pistols have “Mark II”-style ambidextrous safety levers. Magazines are of the original High Power configuration but have a capacity of 15 rounds. Two are supplied with each pistol. Inglis pistols come in a lockable polymer case with a cleaning kit.
