Nice mkii cloneIt’s not a Gerber mkii but it is a very nice clone . Look at the several mkii’s on the internet and you can see which one they cloned. I think they did an outstanding job . I love this knife , it’s the center piece, just under my M16A1 in my Vietnam tribute display case. Look at the prices of a mkii, this is a steal compared to them . Another great product from MAC !

MK II KnifeIn 1969 I did not buy a Gerber MK II because the blade was "bent". Later I learned the bend was intentional. When the MAC MK II was introduced I decided to make up for my error fifty-six years ago and buy the knife! The fit and finish on the MAC MK II is equal to the Gerber and the 440c steel is a better choice for a hard use knife than the carbon steel on the original Gerber. The MAC MK II will definitely outlast me.

Mark 2 knifeFalls far short of the original! Needs to be a half inch longer and the waist is way too thin. Beef it up a little to conform to the original. Charge more if you need to, and you'd have a real winner!

MAC MK II KNIFEI reviewed three of these knives. The fit, finish, and feel were very consistent. I compared these to my 1970 Gerber Mark II (#15XXX). Gerber numbers first: Overall Weight Knife (7.1oz -- 6.9oz); Knife & Sheath (10.5oz -- 9.6oz); Length Overall (11 4/8" -- 11 5/8") Blade (6 4/8" -- 6 4/8"); Narrowest point of Blade (6 4/8" for both); Cant (None for Both); Hilt (2'' for Both). Compares favorably to my Gerber. The MAC MK II is a Great Fighting Knife for the price.

MAC MKII KnifeThe Mac MkII Knife is an "OK" reproduction of the original Gerber knife. I have been collecting Gerber Mark II's since the 1970's, and I have several of them to compare to this MAC MKII Knife. It is the most like the Gerbers from the 1969 to 1970, but there are quite a few differences. First the blade is too short by over 1/4" and too narrow at the waist. The paint color is different and the bead blasted finish on the blade was never used by Gerber. Dimensionally it is close to Gerbers of that vintage. The Sheath is very different color, finish, hardware, material, dimensions, and edge details, but is generally the same shape. I guess the most disappointing part is that MAC MKII Knife came to me just plain dull. It is good that they made the blade tang longer, but then that never posed a problem on any Gerber that I have heard of. It is probably not a bad knife for $100, but it could easily have been a lot better and sharper.

Mark 2 knifeExcellent reproduction of this knife the original company stopped production. Maybe better than some recent models.

MKII knifeIt’s a really nice knife. Weight and balance are very good. The only complaint I have is that they didn’t send the leather leg tie with mine. I called customer service and they said they would get one right out to me. It’s been weeks and still no tie.

MKII knifeIt's a great knife but much narrower than my actual MKii from the late 80's. I would not hesitate to get another but it's not identical.

Mac MK II KnifeSuperb! This is the MK II I have always wanted! True wasp-shaped blade without the serrations. I believe the originals had a cat-tongue texture to the handle, but that is not a feature I am worried about as I micro-cord wrap my handle anyway. Also, no 15-degree cant on the blade, but again, not a feature I wanted either. I have purchased both Gerbers and clones (Valor) over the years, but I am deeply impressed with this knife. For the price, you better grab as many as you can. You will not find this quality and this pattern for this price anywhere else. I showed this to a few ex-military friends and they went berserk when I told them the price and they all said they would order one asap. I recommend this without hesitation! -Will-
